“ Loved it. We got a table for when they opened and I think that was a good idea as they do get busy especially with the Monday-Wednesday gov discount. If you can book as couple of people were turned away. Food was delicious and the service I can't complain about it was great. ”
“ Amazing food at great prices. Staff are really friendly and obliging. Can take ages to get your bill so if you are in a hurry ask for it early. Carpark round the corner is free after 6.30pm. There is a bus stop immediately outside the door too. They do takeaways that they can deliver. ”
“ Visited Shapla last night (Friday) with friends for a curry. The food was excellent as was the staff and atmosphere. We arrived at 7.15 and by the time we had finished the restaurant was full. Still the best curry in Barnet. ”
“ Absolutely delicious!!! Would 1000000% recommend! Everyone was lovely welcoming and friendly, even boxed up the rest of my meal for me. ”
“ Dined in the restaurant and honestly it was the best and most filling Indian I've ever eaten. The food was so rich in flavour you didn't need an enormous portion - plus the mint sauce was the best I've ever tasted. Would 100% recommend to a friend and go again ”
“ Authentic Indian food. Great price. Food well served. The seasonings have a balance nothing too strong to the customer's taste ”
“ Delicious hot soft succulent lamb and very tasty never fails if you truly want to enjoy a curry try having it with jusy chapattis ... ”
“ We have been going there for few years. At one point we stopped as the food deteriorated, most of the vegetables in the curries were half cooked and raw. When we told the boss - he did not like it, he gets a bit sensitive... Recently we stopped ordering poppadoms as they immediately bring the pots with chutney and charge nearly 3 just for the chutney. Then, when you finished with the poppadoms they take away the chutney - and put it on another table. And so on. What really put us off was that we noticed they do not put fresh chutney but just top up the used one which is disgusting when you know the same chutney has been on another table and perhaps one more...the hygiene and food standards are questionable. The other put off about this place are large groups of men who after being in a pub fancy passing by for a curry and - behave. The noise at times is unbearable. Otherwise staff is kind and the food overall not too expensive (compared to others) and ok. ”
